Your ability to study effectively and efficiently will determine your success at CXC. Effective study skills involves more than simply rereading and going over notes. There are no magic formulae for success in preparing for tests, written or oral assignments.

 

1. PREPARE

• Get yourself a syllabus.
• Decide what's your study time
• Decide where to study - (Ensure that your study area has no distractions, proper lighting and a desk or table large enough to spread out your books.) , ( Gather all you need: pens, erasers, staples, pencils, calculators.)
• Prepare a schedule taking into account all your class, lab, lecture, social event and other work & activities.

2. USE YOUR SKILLS - Studying effectively involves using a variety of best skills such as reciting, writing or memorizing to achieve the best results.

 

3. TEST YOURSELF - Don't rely on teachers to test you. Test yourself after every study session.
