Tanya Webster
If you are like Tanya Webster , you can explore your artistic side from behind the lens of a camera. At the recent black and white photography exhibition of the UWI Camera Club, Tanya really showed her stuff. She is a new member of the club, who has been practising photography for only a year but she took home five top awards and merit certificates in different categories for outstanding work. Tanya's awards included first an second prizes in the architecture and engineering category, a third prize in figure study, second prize in the theme category and fourth place in portraiture. Three of her photos were featured in the Sunday Gleaner of   April 18, so dig up your old Gleaners and have a look.

Ronald C. Edwards
It seems as though we omitted Ronald C. Edward from our GSAT scholar list last year. We can't think how we could because he won a government scholarship which took him from   Queens Preparatory to Campion College. Keep it up, Ronald!

Posing for the Gleaner with the rest of their teammates were: Phillip Anderson, Jordan Armond,  Sean Campbell, Alexander Chin, Robert Hamilton, Troy Palomino and Nicholas Vaughan for the boys. And the girls were Tracy Callender, Carolyn Chuck, Vanacia Johnson, Chantal Wheatley , and Jhenelle Williams . Carolyn earned the distinction of scoring the most goals for her team   - ten in all.

And now to a sport that exercises the brain – Ashley-Ann Foster of St. James College in Montego Bay became the female Western Chess Open Champion in March 2004.

Patients in News
Peter Harriott
seems to be heading for a top job in journalism some time in the future. He was second quarterly editor for the Jamaica Observer's TeenAge some weeks ago, and wrote eloquently about the Easter feature in his editorial.
 Brain Goldson and Dionne Rhoden
Did you see Brian Goldson and Dionne Rhoden on the social page of the Gleaner the other day? They were both hosts at their company's party thrown for members of the media. The Gleaner photographer caught them in animated conversations with their colleagues and guests.
Tina Myers
We caught a glimpse of Tina Myers in the Gleaner presenting the Chairman of the Bikeathon Committee with a nice big sponsorship cheque for the 2004 Bikeathon which took place earlier in May.
Alexis Chin
Out at the Caymanas Park race track, Alexis Chin seemed quite pleased to present a cheque to help the children of the Maxfield Park Children's Home

Some of our patients don't even need a stage to show their talents. Some only need a blank page, as we see from this poem co-written by our own Jessica Perkins.
A Poem about Blessings by Alex Bicknell and Jessica Perkins

Some people are very blessed, but let's think about the rest.

People don't have as much as you
You should be grateful for what you get and do.

Think of people on the side of the road
They beg and beg until you get old.

Most of you just throw it away
When some people wish they could have it for at least a day.
Now this is a poem to think about
So open your hearts and give it out!!!
