At this visit we will be evaluating the need for and proper timing of your orthodontic treatment. Every orthodontic case is different and the doctor will want to look at your teeth, gums and profile before determining a treatment plan for you.

We will also be discussing with you:

• method of treatment      
• length of treatment      
• costs involved      
• financial arrangements available
  

Once the doctor has determined that treatment is indicated for you we will take diagnostic records.

These include:

• impressions or molds of the teeth      
• Digital x-ray of head and teeth      
• photographs of the mouth and face

The records are studied by the doctor to determine the best treatment plan for you.

In 1987 we were the first practice to introduce panoramic radiography and cephalometry to orthodontic practice in Jamaica. In 2006 we are the first to make the leap into the digital age with our new state of the art Kodak 2000DR recently installed at our Kingston office.

The DR is for digital radiography and this allows it to capture stunning radiographs and upload them to our computers almost instantaneously. This new machine is also environmentally friendly as it dispenses with the chemical soup that is necessary in the processing of regular X-ray film.
